Habitat for Humanity Yorkton

Habitat for Humanity Yorkton is dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing by building homes in partnership with the community, for working families in need. Habitat for Humanity is an independent, charitable, faith-based organization. We build simple, decent and affordable houses and provide interest-free mortgages to families who would not otherwise be able to purchase their own home. We believe that home-ownership provides a long-term solution to breaking the cycle of poverty.

The Saskatchewan Housing Corporation

Sask Housing wowed everyone with their million dollar announcement in March of '09! $50,000 per house will be given to Habitat affiliates around the province for the next 20 houses being built. Thank you Sask Housing, for taking steps to break the cycle of poverty for more Saskatchewan families. Saskatchewan has Habitat affiliates in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Llyodminster, and chapters in Yorkton and Moose Jaw.

After a day of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Yorkton, you can look back and see what you have accomplished. Neat, right? Whether you're on a build site, on one of our committees, or working administratively you'll help Habitat low-income, working families make the dream of home ownership a reality.
